Interested in glass fusing? This relaxing 2.5 hour workshop offers you the opportunity to make a beautiful suncatcher for a window and two coasters. Bring your own imagery, or use templates and inspiration provided to bring your piece to life with vibrant glass. You will learn how to design, cut glass and choose embellishments, which will then be fused and slumped overnight in a kiln and available to collect a few days after the course (or shipped to you for the price of postage).

For anyone interested in how the kiln works and would like to learn about firing schedules this information will also be provided.

Glass fusing is a versatile craft that involves melting glass together at high heat - with specific control to produce texture and a glossy finish.

You will have a wide selection of colourful glass and accessories to choose from.

Minimum age to attend is 16.

Essential Info

Please wear closed-toed shoes and tie back long hair. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or bring an apron.

The course times are listed alongside the dates in the list below. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided.

This course takes place at Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre, St Illtyds Road, Church Village, Rhondda Cynon Taff, CF38 1RQ. Please aim to arrive five minutes ahead of the course start time so that we can get the fun started promptly!

On booking you will receive a booking confirmation email, I will have a record of this too and you do not need to bring a copy with you.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend a course you have booked, please let me know as soon as possible. If you give at least 4 weeks’ notice you are eligible for a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date. If you give between 2 and 4 weeks’ notice you are eligible for a 50% refund or a transfer to an alternative date. If you give less than two weeks’ notice you are not eligible for any refund, but where possible I will endeavour to offer an alternative date if the course you are enable to attend can still viably go ahead without your booking. No refunds or alternative dates can be offered if you don’t contact me before the course is due to take place.
