Stained Glass 6-Week Course (Garth Olwg, South Wales)
Stained Glass 6-Week Course (Garth Olwg, South Wales)
Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience, this course offers the opportunity to learn the traditional craft of stained glass. This is a hands-on course, covering all processes including glass cutting, leading, soldering, cementing and polishing your piece. The main benefit of an extended course is the opportunity to make more than one piece or to work on a larger piece, allowing you to consolidate your skills and get more creative with your designs for lead and glass. You will have the option to explore both traditional techniques and the modern copper foiling process.
Choose from a large range of templates that will enable you to get a good grounding in the core skills or design your own with my guidance. Learn about different types of glass and choose from a wide range of colours and textures to suit your style. This course is an opportunity to develop your skills in a relaxed environment.
Materials to the value of £20 and use of tools are included. Additional materials for larger projects can be purchased at additional cost from suggested suppliers. This £20 cover is sufficient for any starter project using my templates in full (1-3 weeks of work), or can be used for lead/solder against larger pieces. Students will receive a 10% discount code off glass at Creative Glass Guild.
Maximum of eight students. Minimum age to attend is 16.
